JAMES HOWE

 

James Howe’s Bunnicula, published in 1979, is celebrating its 40th year with a special anniversary edition.  Since coauthoring Bunnicula with Deborah Howe, he has written over ninety books for young readers, including the popular sequels and spinoffs to Bunnicula, and the Pinky and Rex and Houndsley and Catina beginning reader series. His novel The Misfits inspired the national anti-bullying initiative No Name-Calling Week (www.nonamecallingweek.org). Picture books include I Wish I Were a Butterfly, Horace, and Morris but mostly Dolores, Brontorina, and Big Bob, Little Bob.  James Howe grew up in Webster; he currently resides in Yonkers, New York with his husband Mark, their cat Archie, and their hound dog Lily.
