Susan Williams Beckhorn writes fiction: MG, YA, and PBs, about animals, nature, and pre-history: Wind Rider (first domesticated horse, western Asia 6,000 years ago) was named a to the Amelia Bloomer List which promotes equality for women and won the UR Andrew EisemanAward; The Wolf’s Boy (first dog, Chauvet Cave, France 25,000 years ago) was an ALA and Kirkus Notable Book of 2016.
 
Susan and her husband, Fred, live in western NY in a stone house they built themselves. They have two grown-and-flown daughters, two dogs, three horses, a few chickens, and raise most of our own veggies.
