Kathleen Blasi is drawn to telling stories that feature quiet heroes—like budding astronaut Milo (Milo’s Moonlight Mission), who longs for and craftily creates quality time with his very busy mother. When it comes to ideas, Kathleen says, “Curiosity is crucial. Things we encounter or experience in everyday life can spark questions in our minds and inspiration for story.” Kathleen has served as co-president of Rochester Area Children’s Writers & Illustrators and is a  former co-director of the Rochester Children's Book Festival.
