Laurie Calkhoven has never swallowed a frog, knocked over a rabbit hutch, or battled ghosts with slime, but she is the author of more than 50 books for young readers, including the G.I. Dogs series, Roosevelt Banks and the Attic of Doom, and Daniel at the Siege of Boston, 1776. Her series of You Should Meet biographies have won accolades across the country. The most recent, Squad Goals, celebrates the unstoppable women of the US Women's National Soccer Team.
