Vivian

Vivian Vande Velde is the author of 40 books for young people, including early chapter books, middle grade, and young adult, as well as short story collections. Most of her books are fantasy—which includes stories about ghosts, magic, fractured fairy tales, and misbehaving squirrels. Nearly all of her books are humorous. With its different characters narrating each chapter, 8 Class Pets + 1 Squirrel ÷ 1 Dog = Chaos has been chosen numerous times for One School/One Book read-aloud events.
